The Safe Kids of Wyoming Campaign chooses to implement a statewide social marketing campaign to raise awareness among adults, especially parents, parents-to-be and caregivers that:

Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death in children age 1-18 and that they are preventable through active (behavioral) and passive (environmental and legislative) interventions.

According to the US Census Bureau, the estimated population in Wyoming for 2003 was 501,242. This compares to 493,782 in the year 2000.
